Scents I’m Loving Now

Lately, I’ve been much more interested in fragrances that create a mood instead of simply smelling “nice.” I want something that feels memorable, easy to wear and a little addictive.
These three have completely different personalities, but each taps into one of the biggest fragrance directions I’m seeing right now: juicy fruits, airy aquatic notes and creamy gourmands.

Essential Parfums Fig Infusion

Fig fragrances have become one of my favorite perfume trends because they manage to smell green, creamy and slightly sweet at the same time.
Essential Parfums Fig Infusion feels especially elegant to me. The fig is paired with juicy mandarin, orange blossom and black tea, while cedarwood, sandalwood and benzoin make the drydown warmer and smoother.
I love this type of fragrance when I want something sophisticated but still relaxed. It has that effortless, sunlit feeling that works beautifully during the day without becoming too fresh or too sugary.

Phlur Island Swim

Aquatic fragrances are having a softer, more wearable moment, and Island Swim is exactly the kind of scent I want when I’m craving something clean and summery.
It combines bergamot, calamansi and coconut with ocean mist, blue lavender and plumeria, followed by sandalwood, marine amber and skin musk.
To me, it feels like warm skin after swimming rather than a traditional “ocean” perfume. I love that it stays bright and airy while the coconut and sandalwood stop it from feeling too sharp. It is the easiest of the three to reach for when I want something casual and refreshing.

Phlur Heavy Cream

Then there is the complete opposite: Heavy Cream. Creamy gourmands are still one of the biggest fragrance trends, and this is exactly why I understand the obsession.
The mist opens with lemon sugar, marshmallow and orange before moving into jasmine and coconut cream. Vanilla mousse, salted caramel and whipped cream create the sweet, milky base.
I usually prefer gourmand scents that feel soft rather than overwhelmingly sugary, and this one gives me that fluffy dessert-like effect. I would especially wear it in cooler weather or layer it with another vanilla fragrance.
These three perfectly show how varied current fragrance trends have become. Fig Infusion is elegant and green, Island Swim is fresh and aquatic, while Heavy Cream is warm and deliciously gourmand. Depending on my mood, I could easily find a reason to wear all three.
